Just got back from the Digital Economy Forum 2024, and it was all about finding our way in the digital future; the energy was great.
The key takeaways? First, digital transformation requires collaboration. That is, businesses, government, and tech leaders have to collaborate closely. It's not just about great technology; it's about joining forces.
The most exciting part was how technology is becoming a hero in sustainability. Companies are using AI, IoT, and 5G to not only grow their businesses but also help the planet. Think of smart cities and energy-efficient technology—it's really amazing stuff.
But here's the real game-changer: people. Technology moves fast, but it's humans that really drive innovation. So much was said about upskilling workers, about making digital skills accessible to all. It's no longer about tech jobs; digital literacy is fast becoming a must-have in all sectors.
The networking was great, too.
My main lesson? Technology is great, but what really counts is how we use it. We have the ability to make technology benefit everyone, not just a small group. I feel a bit more hopeful about the future.
